The earlier you send the better, but make sure you send them by our Last Posting Dates. Dates vary depending on the destination and service, for UK services extended delivery times exist for outlying areas. Please see here for more information.

Christmas posting using international services

As we approach the busiest time of year, international delivery services experience much higher volumes of parcels and letters. To help ensure your items arrive in time for Christmas, we strongly recommend posting as early as possible.

If you are sending gifts or goods to the USA, please note, that recent changes to customs procedures may affect delivery times. For more details about these changes and how they may affect items you send to the USA, visit our dedicated web page.

Collections 

To help us deliver in time for Christmas, please note our collection information below:

• Last collections will take place on Monday 22 December 2025 for delivery by Christmas.
• There will be no collections from 23 to 26 December 2025.
• Regular UK collections and deliveries resume on 29 and 30 December 2025. Please note: express48 items collected during this time will be delivered from 2 January 2026.
• There will be no collection on 31 December 2025.
• There will be no collections or deliveries on 1 January 2026.
• In Scotland only, there will also be no collections or deliveries on 2 January 2026.
